Partner Support Accountant at a mid tier Chartered Accountants in London

Your new company
Your new company is a well-established, international Chartered Accountants with an office based in London. This firm is a market leader in the London market, with over 150 employees in the London office. This firm specialises in a variety of service lines, including Tax, Accountancy, Audit and Advisory services. You will be working with a variety of clients from different industries, some of which includes property, media, financial services, and media. This role involves working directly for one of the Partners in a Support Accountant capacity, the role would suit an individual who is interested in how businesses work.

Your new role
Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis.
  • Analysing reports to assist in business decisions and considering tax implications of transactions.
  • Reviewing and critiquing of investment memorandums.
  • Preparation of trustee meeting packs (agendas and board papers).
  • Preparation of trustee minutes and other supplementary documents with other general client services.
  • Liaising with clients as well as lawyers, intermediaries, and other service providers.
  • Researching and assisting in resolving client enquiries and issues through to resolution.
  • Responding to queries and requests from clients or other external and internal stakeholders and corresponding with them in the most appropriate way.
  • Handling client and payment requests.
  • Assisting in fees management and fee administration.
  • Assisting with marketing the firm and attending networking events with co-professionals, as appropriate.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, it is desirable that you are:

  • ACA qualified or equivalent - this includes a strong academic background
  • Have experience working within a UK Chartered Accountants including 2 years (minimum) post qualification experience
  • Confident in a client facing role, including being able to resolve issues and be the first point of contact for clients
  • Understanding of:
    • trusts and landed estates
    • capital taxes
    • incentive schemes
    • Business KPI's
    • M&A
    • Share schemes including tax position
    • Experience of dealing with high net-worth clients and their businesses.
    • A familiarity with the basics of corporate life and the roles of Directors and Trustees.
    • Knowledge of fiduciary obligations, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
