About the Team

In line with our overall growth agenda, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Technology practice is a growing team which helps clients on various aspects of technology enablement for GRC which also includes Disclosure management and ESG.  The team helps clients assess, design and develop solutions to manage diverse risks and disclosures through the use of technology.  This work is delivered through stand-alone assignments, or as part of broader transformation programmes.  As a part of this growing team you'll have the opportunity to develop a holistic approach to the use of technology in the risk that protects businesses, facilitates strategic decision making and enhances efficiency by leading development of assets and supporting implementations.  This team has a good blend of deep expertise in the technology and a strong knowledge of the risks, controls and reporting insights delivering value and building trust in our clients.

The role 

Our growing GRC Technology practice is a blend of experts with a broad range of skills offering specialised services to our key clients including development of business cases, technology roadmaps, and implementations of GRC technology which includes disclosure management and reporting solutions.  As a part of this team, you will be responsible for leading asset development workstream and leading Workiva implementations. Specifically, the role will need deep technical skills around Wdesk, Wdata and architecture understanding to joint asset roadmap development. In addition, the person will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development of an Asset roadmap by aligning with various stakeholders; and ensuring delivery of such plans

  • Though the focus of the role will be asset development, the person will be responsible for leading key implementations around reporting and GRC

  • Act as SME on engagements requiring integration with other source systems

  • Support the architecture and development of any workiva related assets and help ensure we are leveraging the technology stack appropriately

The person will also be a key part of the growth agenda supporting the business development activities by contributing to the growth strategy of the practice, leading on proposals for new work and market engagement, leading implementations, developing new propositions and management of delivery teams.  You’ll be responsible for overseeing the ongoing development of the GRC technology team members, through training, bootcamps and through on-job development for a sustainable delivery, managing the demand and supply. 

Detailed understanding of Workiva as the GRC technology both from a functional and technical perspective is essential.  You’ll be involved in client facing and client relationship building activities across a broad range of clients in the Financial and non-Financial Services sectors helping them develop technology-enabled solutions for a consistent, coordinated, and sustainable strategy for their risk and compliance activities.  In your role, you’ll also be responsible for actively building and sustaining the pipeline of business, supporting client pursuit activities such as responding to RFPs, leading risk & quality checks, budgets, bid reviews and client presentations.

The essentials

  • Strong understanding of how assets add value to our client propositions and ability to develop a roadmap by assessing the benefits

  • Strong technical expertise around Workiva platform, Wdata and data integrations

  • Proven experience in controls, risk or reporting transformation programmes with functional and technical integrations, having experience of leading project deliveries and assurance services, including customisations through integrations with the use of APIs where possible

  • Provide insights around architecture to help make informed decisions around our solution offerings

  • Demonstrates experience of having led multiple complex GRC technology implementations and having a commercial view of the use of technology solving clients’ business problems

  • Having managed multiple client deliveries offering technical SME inputs on implementations, change management and governance

  • Exhibits an understanding and the market view of multiple GRC use-cases such as Integrated Risk, ESG, SOX, SEC Reporting or similar

  • Demonstrates the experience of leading the delivery teams and key client stakeholders while offering best solutions to clients’ complex business problems

Preferred Skills

  • Experience of working with Financial Services and non-Financial Services clients across multiple industry sectors e.g. Insurance, Retail, Oil & Gas, Banking or others

  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of business and IT risks and controls with a view of SOX or similar regulatory initiatives having worked in SOX readiness journey or implementation

  • Demonstrates abilities in advising clients for their GRC tooling journey, helping in realisation of business benefits, solution fit and typical challenges.

  • Proven knowledge of the use of technology for managing compliance operational  activities including controls design effectiveness, operational effectiveness and self-assessment tests of controls and reporting

  • Demonstrates transferable skills to understand and interpret client needs offering expert technical solutions supporting the selection of in-market GRC vendor solutions like Workiva, RSA Archer, Galvanize, MetricStream, AuditBoardor others, working senior client stakeholders and senior firm colleagues
