Client Details
I am working with growing PE backed business based in Lancashire who want to hire an ambitious Financial Controller to support them through exciting period of growth. They are market leader and supply to household names. They value their employees and have created a collaborative working culture.
Description
The role reports in to an impressive Finance Director and has 3 direct reports, a Management Accountant, Payroll Advisor and Purchase Ledger Clerk. This will enhance going forward to incorporate sales ledger and possibility procurement. Finance system used is access dimensions (not that that matters too much as can all be learnt!). Further development of role would be more commercial work to include forecasts, budgets and pricing. There is also a BI function that would become part of this role which you will require driving and also assist with improving systems/ processes and removing some of the manual unnecessary processes that occur.
- Accurately preparing consolidated management accounts
- Responsibility for balance sheet control
- Cash flow management
- Overseeing payroll and timesheets
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting
- Lead in the development and improvement of processes, controls and systems to ensure they are fit for purpose as the business continues to grow
- Ensuring best practice governance is maintained, including fillings to relevant authorities
- Being the first point of contact for external auditors
Profile
- Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Commercial experience with budgeting, forecasting and/or pricing
- Experience in a role/business where you have driven change
- Experience of cash flow management
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in industry
- Experience in a hands on role
- Excellent numerical and communication skills
- Experience of improving systems, controls and reporting
Job Offer
- Up to £65,000 salary
- Annual bonus based on budget achievement (current structure is 90% budget =15%, 100% budget = 20%, 110% budget = 25%)
