Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management including: management accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, assisting with the implementation of Group policies and procedures and reporting to Group.
Client Details
Our client, based in Chichester, are looking to take on board a Financial Controller, to undertake all aspects of the finance function. They are one of the biggest names in the manufacturing and production industry, boasting over nearly 75 years of industry experience.
Description
Responsibilities for the Financial Controller are:
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Assisting with implementation of new accounting system (SAP B1)
- Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Cashbook and GL
- Cashflow management
- Coordinate the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances
- Investigation and reporting of variances
- Project costing and standard costing
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements: three-day turnaround
- Month-end and year-end close process
- Coordinate the preparation of year end reporting and manage the preparation and collation of documentation for the auditors
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Additional duties as necessary
Profile
The successful Financial Controller:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA
- Experience of managing a small team
- Experience of producing management accounts
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
- Statutory accounts preparation experience, preferably to include IFRS
- B2B manufacturing and distribution experience
- Experience of ERP implementation
- SAP Business One Experience
