As Head of Group Tax you will report to the GFC and be responsible for all UK and International Tax issues for the group. You will also lead and develop an establish tax team.

This is a market leading international group that is experiencing year or year growth. With its Head Office in the Midlands this is a truly market leading business in their field.


As Head of Group Tax you will report into the GFC and be responsible for:

  • Lead the tax planning and compliance considering the future strategy of the business, group policy
  • Oversight and development of the Groups tax strategy
  • Provide oversight, advice and support on all tax related matters to the overall worldwide Group
  • Responsibility for effective and efficient management of the Group's direct and indirect tax compliance within the UK, Europe and the associated America operations
  • Oversight of preparation of accounting entries for Corporation tax, Deferred Tax and VAT;
  • Liaise with US tax advisers to ensure all filing and payment deadlines are achieved;
  • Oversight of preparation of UK tax calculations, submit returns and make payments on a timely basis;
  • Managing the group's transfer pricing compliance and queries
  • Providing adhoc tax advice on structuring and commercially-led projects
  • Manage team of tax staff on a day to day basis


  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CTA)
  • Extensive tax experience, preferably from working within a large accountancy firm's tax department and within a large multinational group tax team in industry
  • Technically up to date and aware of legislative changes
  • UK Corporation Tax experience together with knowledge of tax reporting under UK GAPP and IFRS
  • International tax experience
  • Extensive working knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations alongside experience of working with tax advisers to oversee other territories compliance requirements
  • Experience of working across all aspects of taxation
