Interim Senior Management Accountant

My client are looking for interim support in the lead up to and throughout their year end external audit. This will involve supporting the current accounts team with completion and review of their balance sheet reconciliations across various business units. There is more than one position available to support this.................

Description

The key responsibilities within this role are:

* Reconciling and updating allocated balance sheet control accounts, ensuring any risks and opportunities are understood, documented, and communicated.
* Constantly reviewing and questioning current processes and improving upon them as necessary to ensure that controls are strong and month end is as efficient as possible.
* Ensuring that the business complies with accounting standards and legislative frameworks.
* Contributing to a smooth and clean audit as required, by working with the company's external and internal auditors, thus minimising risk.
* Support other areas of the finance team with ad hoc requests where necessary.

Profile

The deal candidate for this position will possess:

* A full and recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
* Ability to demonstrate experience of effective balance sheet reconciliation control.
* Resilience and a drive to be able to work under your own initiative.
* Strong organisation skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to hit the ground running, with a positive and driven attitude to make a real difference.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to change your approach depending on audience.
* Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across the business.
* Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines.
* Good Excel

An excellent day rate is on offer and an immediate start. This role requires hybrid working with 2 days onsite so applicants should be within a commutable distance of Cheltenham. This is suited to candidates that are either immediately available or available at very short notice.
