Job Details

The successful candidate will provide an efficient and effective finance service to the wider Academy Trust and it's stakeholders. This will include completing month end processes and preparing management accounts, in accordance with the principles of the Trust and the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
Client Details
My client is leading Multi Academy Trust in the Midlands region who are now seeking an experienced Management accountant to join their established team.
Description
- To assist the CFO with the development the Trust management accounting function including preparing budgets, allocating resources, preparing financial forecasts, maintaining robust finances and to ensure the Trust financial objectives are achieved.
- To contribute as required to the planning and administration of new ventures and projects, including new schools joining the Academy Trust.
- To assist the CFO in providing regular and timely reports and information to the budget holders, senior finance colleagues, Head Teachers and the Business and Audit Committee members, on management accounting matters and related issues.
- To support the CFO in assisting the wider finance team to develop and implement more efficient financial processes.
- To line manage a finance team of 6 staff on a day to day basis, ensuring workloads are managed effectively.
- To financially manage the Trust's capital grant funding and associated expenditure, providing timely reports to the CFO, Facilities and Projects Manager and COO.
- To manage the reconciliation of the Trust's balance sheet, ensuring control account reconciliations are completed and evidenced.
Profile
- Accounting Qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
- Experience of working in a school environment (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process detailed financial data.
