Job Details
This is a senior management position reporting to the Finance Director.
You will have full management responsibility for the Management and Financial Accounts team and remit to grow and develop this team.
The position should act as a partner to the wider business and have a very good understanding of what the accounts mean for the business through relationships with operational and commercial roles.

Our client are a PE backed business with turnover of c£100mil. The business is growing and therefore going through an exciting period of change, so you'll need to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Description
The role is responsible for the following:
- Accurate and timely reporting of the company's financial information
- Safeguarding of assets through robust financial controls
- Ensuring other departments have the financial information and KPIs they require to optimise performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly Reporting: Produce, review and report the monthly results
- Treasury: Daily cashflow reporting and forecasting, management of Invoice Discounting facility, bank admin and relationships, foreign currency management
- Financial Control: Maintain excellent financial controls and consistent practice
- Tax: Preparation of VAT and PAYE returns, collate Corporation Tax data for external preparation
- Statutory Accounts: Management of annual statutory audit and preparation of statutory accounts
- Analysis: Periodic reporting both internally and externally, ad-hoc reporting as required, KPI reporting
- Business Growth: Involvement in business acquisitions as required including integration
- Continuous Improvement: Challenge and improve existing processes within the function and work with colleagues outside of the department to optimise business processes
Profile
- Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA
- Strong financial accounts experience
- Excellent and natural leader
- Very strong analytical skills including advanced Excel skills
- Be confident communicating and presenting to senior management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Evidence of positively participating in and supporting effective teams
- Natural decision-maker, able to exercise judgement and take responsibility
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
- Ability to manage change and constantly challenge the status quo
- Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks
- Energetic and proactive
