Financial Accountant / Statutory accounting / Management Accounting
Our client is currently delivering a significant level of growth and are looking for a high-performing Financial Accountant on a full-time basis. Working within a finance team of 7-10 people, you will be reporting to the Group Financial Controller. The role is office based and with the flexibility regarding working hours at the start and end of the day.
This Financial Accountant role would suit a fully or part-qualified Accountant, who is able to demonstrate a good level of day-to-day management accounting expertise, including consolidation, excellent excel skills combined with some statutory accounting experience.
The key responsibilities will include:
* Responsibility for the preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts, including calculations and posting of the monthly journals
* Preparation and issue of variance reports to monitor and report on variances to budget and targets
* Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and intercompany accounts
* Production of the monthly management accounts pack and supporting analysis for internal and external stakeholders of the business
* Responsibility for the preparation of the individual entity accounts
* Assist in preparation of year-end accounts and the production of our audit files
* Assist in preparation and submission of the group monthly and quarterly VAT returns
* Ad-hoc analysis and investigations for senior management
* Review and approval of Purchase Orders and supplier payment runs
* Assist in the preparation of the annual Budget and forecasts including cashflow
* Provide support and cover for other members of the finance team
