This is a varied and hands-on role, supporting with key decision making by collecting, analysing and reporting job cost data.

As Operations Accountant, your duties will include:Determine ongoing cost of operations by analysing appropriate operational dataPreparation, analysis and presentation of monthly job cost reportsGuide projection process by providing trends and forecastsDevelopment and analysis of relevant production statisticsCreate and maintain appropriate management reports in order to summarise customer profitabilityVariance analysis, stock management and forecastingInteract with other departments, primarily sales, production and finance; building and maintaining effective relations, to aid the decision making processInterpret, present and translate data to all levels of managementRegularly review the manufacturing process to maintain a good level of production awarenessCreate, maintain and explain any necessary database/spreadsheets, in order to achieve principal accountabilitiesAssisting in annual budget settingAssist in production of corporate accountsAssist in production of regular operational forecastSupport the Financial Director in any ad hoc exercisesPreparation of monthly annualised forecasting reportsInventory managementLiaison with Finance Manager/Finance Director to ensure coordinated timely informationProduction of various management reportsAd hoc support to wider finance and operations teams
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalentPrior experience in a manufacturing environmentAdvanced Excel SkillsAble to operate confidently and accurately under challenging deadlinesExcellent communication skills - confident working with stakeholders at all levelsAdaptable and enthusiastic team member
In return, the client are offering a competitive salary c£45-50k (dependent on experience), plus wider package. They are operating a hybrid working pattern, with a blend of office and homeworking.
