Your new company

Your new company is a leading Music business - operating within the IP and Rights Management space. The business has done incredibly well over the last few years and has gone from strength to strength, now working with a huge variety of artists, allowing for multiple revenue streams.

Off the back of that they have been able to gain significant investment from a major Private Equity House, which brings with it stringent financial compliance checks that need to be done - hence the creation of this new role.


Your new role

In your new role, you will sit with the finance team - reporting to the Head of Finance, ensuring that the various financial accounting standards are kept and adhered to. As such, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with the team where needed to keep the compliance level high, as well as liaising with the investor to identify what sits with the finance team, and what needs to be managed by the investor.

There are various areas of compliance that need to be looked after such as the 'standard' accounting pieces such as GAAP, but also more niche and specific pieces such as ICAV and Fund Accounting - due to the ultimate reporting lines of the business.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Due to high complexity of financial compliance checks you will need to be a Chartered Accountant
  • Experience with Internal Audit or Compliance to be able to bring in Controls where needed
  • Strong communication skills due to different stakeholders you need to engage with
  • Ability to live and work in the UK without restriction or sponsorship
