Group Financial Accountant

Working as a Group Financial Accountant you will be dealing with numerous responsibilities and deal with management, and delivery of half-year and full-year group reporting.

My award-winning client are based in Leeds City Centre, and currently have had a solid record year, with a turnover of £3.6 billion. My client specialise in tourism and leisure and are known across the UK and Europe, they also have other brilliant brands which are apart of the company. Have a great brand presence, even great in comparison to pre-covid years. Their finance team is split into 5 main different teams, which all deal with the different aspects of finance. Description

Main responsibilities are:

• Responsible for preparation of Group Management Accounts
• Assist with management, co-ordination and delivery of half-year and full- year Group Reporting. E.g Group Consolidation, Investor Presentation and Annual Report production.
• Help manage external audit process.
• Preparation of the monthly balance sheet and cash flow re-forecasting, and also contribute toward the monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with work on ad-hoc projects as required e.g. implementation of new accounting standards.

Profile

The successful candidate must have as follows:

• New/Qualified accountant either ACA/ACCA.
• Strong analytical skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Work as part of team including senior staff.
• Flexible to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Deliver on tight timescales.
• Experience on IFRS and FRS 101 reporting is required.
