From our office

Our client is an acquisitive Wealth Management Group at an exciting time on its growth journey. With an experienced PE investor supporting its continued buy and build strategy they now seek to add a Group Financial Controller to the senior team. This is a newly created role and will be the key support to the Group CFO. As a new role, there is much scope for the right candidate to innovate as well as ensure that the fundamentals of timely financial reporting, process and control improvement and integration of new businesses are maintained. The Group FC will have a real impact on the shape of the business as it grows and on maintaining and enhancing its impressive track record of profitability. The business operates hybrid working with ideally 2 days a week in the London office.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Management Accounts and Financial KPI’s, analysing and reporting on performance on a site and consolidated basis
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Management of annual Budget and regular re-forecast processes
  • Leading and developing the finance function, including regular appraisals – ensuring appropriate skills development to the team
  • Build financial controls and processes to ensure the security of assets and maximise profit performance
  • Lead on the year end audits, work closely with the auditors to ensure any issues are resolved
  • Implementation of improved financial systems and processes
  • Timely integration of newly acquired businesses
  • Improving reporting timelines to meet the requirements of the Private Equity investors of weekly/monthly MI as required
  • Managing covenant and cashflow reporting
  • Production of annual Consolidated Financial Statements, liaising closely with the auditors.
  • Longer term supporting the transaction and Due Diligence

The Applicant:

  • Must be a fully qualified accountant
  • Strong technical accounting skills, track record of year end reporting and working with auditors
  • Ideally, some experience in Financial Services
  • Able to problem solve and effect change, integrity and open communication
  • Ideally experience using Sage Intacct, Planful and strong excel skills
  • Desire to implement new financial systems and processes
