About the Team

Within Technology, Data & Analytics our Financial Services practice is the UK’s leading data and technology team where you will have extensive opportunities to work with the largest and most influential financial services clients in the UK and Globally. We utilise leading edge data and technology capabilities to help our clients deal with a number of challenges around data, data management, regulatory reporting, data transformation, cloud, ESG etc all underpinned by a deep set of skills around data and data analytics.

The role 

You will be joining a team which works with leading global banks and capital markets firms on a range of regulatory and business change programmes applying data expertise combined with knowledge of controls, industry and regulation to help these firms solve problems and deliver change. Most recently, our projects have included Brexit response, governance and controls around data in Transaction Reporting (MIFIDII, EMIR etc..) and Front Office governance and controls remediation. 

The essentials

You will have experience of working with complex data within the Banking sector in the Front Office, Finance or Risk with a focus on wholesale banking. You will be able to combine knowledge of investment banking products and processes with your data expertise to help execute strategic and technology changes. 

You will have the ability to work in a regulatory change or controls environment with demonstrated experience of working with regulation (e,g. MIFID II, Prudential Regulation, LIBOR) or controls (e.g. Front Office Controls, Product Control). 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of multiple large-scale data related regulatory and business change initiatives reporting progress to Directors and Partners. 

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges using a data-led approach, helping firms to rethink their approach to risk, control and data. 

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with senior client stakeholders and help pursue commercial opportunities with new and existing clients.

  • Lead engagement and teams to deliver against key requirements on budget and on time. 

  • Take responsibility for the development of diverse and hybrid teams in both business and technical areas through on-the-job training and coaching. 

Preferred Skills

  • Financial Services product knowledge within or across asset classes.

  • Experience of banking processes and associated controls within Finance, Operations or within the Front Office.

  • Experience working within financial services risk and control projects either from a consulting, banking or regulatory background.
