Permanent Finance Manager role with a leading logistics business based in Sheffield

Your new company
Our client is a large, UK based, leading transport and logistics organisation, with a strong ethos of adding value and delivering only the best in customer experience.

Your new role
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will lead a team of 8 assistant accountants/accounts assistants in the finance function. You will be responsible for publishing weekly Management Information for the site to incorporate P&L Accounts down to contract level as well as stats and productivity measures to assess the efficiency of the site and each contract against budgetary targets. Alongside this, you will create detailed forecasts and the annual site operating budget.

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Publishing Management information
- Budgets and forecasts
- Drive performance and decision making
- Lead finance and commercial workstreams for small/medium projects
- P&L ownership
- Reporting
- Develop models and reporting to drive performance

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a CCAB Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) however applications from individuals with suitable experience with no formal accountancy qualification/studying towards will be welcomed.

  • Strong business partnering experience
  • Ideally have multi site/multi customer background
  • Be proactive, inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance
  • Have excellent IT skills including Excel (ideally Oracle Cloud)
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of success
  • Able to travel within the UK as required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Strong commercial mindset with a passion for project work and winning new business
