An international firm is looking for an Assistant Manager to join there high performing VAT team. This is a great job opportunity for a VAT Assistant Manager to broaden their experience in a challenging yet rewarding role. Your new role
In your new role your primary responsibility will be to deal with all VAT advisory matters relating to a wide range of clients from charities and not for profit organisations to large international businesses and work with colleagues across the firm on the VAT issues affecting their clients. In addition, you will work with contacts across our international network to provide advice to both UK based and international clients on the VAT issues they face. You will also provide assistance to the senior members of the team in both client work and in the management of the group. You will be involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis. Therefore, the role will give you the opportunity to make a real difference within the firmwide VAT team.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you must have varied VAT experience gained within HMRC, another accountancy firm or industry. You may be CTA qualified however this is not essential. In addition, you will be comfortable working with minimal supervision and be confident taking ownership of your own portfolio dealing with more complex or higher risk clients. As part of the management team, your journey will continue via mentorship by the senior management team in both your local office and wider network to provide soft skills development such as more effective client management and staff management. Personal coaching will continue as your journey develops beyond formal qualifications which can be tailored to your own individual aspirations.
