Job Details

A career in our Financial Services Credit Risk practice, within Risk Consulting services, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations rethink their approach to risk by developing a distinctive strategy and creating capabilities and performance. We play an important part in helping our clients assess, design and develop solutions that not only help them manage risk but also transform risk and complexity into a sustainable advantage. Our team helps organisations measure and manage the risk associated with borrower, counterparties or other third parties who have a financial or contractual commitment to them. As part of the team, you’ll help assess, design, and implement strategic credit risk functions, collection and recovery units as well as leading credit risk management trainings.

About the role
The prudential regulatory regime continues to evolve with developments such as CRDV and ‘Basel IV’ in addition to the challenges for firms arising from the significant increase in supervisory scrutiny over prudential regulatory reporting (including potential external RWA assurance expectations and Skilled Persons Reports over capital and liquidity). These present challenges for firms both for ongoing compliance and also from a more strategic perspective. Firms need technical and practical advice on how to adapt to these challenges and assess the impact of the wider prudential reform agenda whilst meeting ‘business as usual’ regulatory expectations. In addition, firms and regulators need external parties with the right experience and expertise to provide independent assurance over the capital and liquidity ratios and associated reporting.

We are looking for candidates who have regulatory technical knowledge and experience, including the associated technical rules and guidance, in one of the following:

•    Pillar 1 credit, counterparty credit and / or market risk regulatory capital requirements (standardised and/or model approaches) (including leverage and large exposures). This may also include the associated regulatory reporting (e.g. PRA and COREP returns); or

The technical skills we are looking for are specific to Pillar 1 capital and liquidity requirements. We need individuals with skills in a combination of the following:
