Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are currently supporting a large, multinational business with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

Our client, part of a larger Canadian group, are one of the world's most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies with operations spanning across the globe.

Your new role
Working within the Shared Service Facility financial accounting team, you will be required to support the Financial Controller with key day-to-day financial activities.

Main duties:

  • Preparation of management accounts and analysing variances
  • Preparing budget and forecast information for SSF costs and IFRS16 lease accounting
  • Prepare journals and reconcile IFRS16 lease accounting entries
  • Calculation of monthly internal autotrading commitments including adjustments for local taxes
  • Maintain intercompany loans
  • Assist with the quarterly intercompany reconciliation process and feedback to Group companies (80+ overseas entities)
  • Assistance with the preparation of annual corporation tax packs for 15 statutory companies
  • Preparation of analysis for various finance departments including tax and treasury
  • Ad hoc project accounting work

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting skills developed in either a practice or industry environment
  • Possess an investigative mindset with the confidence to drive change and influence at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work to strict deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills including the use and setup of Pivot Tables and Formulas
  • Good working knowledge of accounting packages (JD Edwards/Oracle highly advantageous)
