Hays are delighted to be partnering with a Global Manufacturing business to recruit a Finance Director for their European Head Office based in Liverpool.

The UK business is an SME manufacturer of products used in the construction industry and has recently invested in the manufacturing facilities with support from a well funded parent company.

The recruitment for this senior position reflects the desire of the business to significantly expand its UK and European activity in the coming years.

Your new role
As Finance Director you will be a key member of the senior leadership team. You will partner the Managing Director and support them with decision making whilst challenging and debating business and investment strategy.

Working closely with the senior operational management you'll ensure that sound commercial and operational decisions are made to drive and enhance business value.

You'll develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the Group and Company's business and will support the integration of any future acquisitions into the European sub-group.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant with extensive experience of working in an SME manufacturing environment. Additionally, it would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a corporate structure, perhaps a division of a larger group.

You will be able to demonstrate how you have influenced decision making, contributed to strategic thinking, and made a direct impact to the bottom line. You will have experience of working with commercial teams as well as production teams where you will have experience of managing costs and controlling working capital.

You'll have the desire to progress your career in a demanding environment that has ambitions for significant future growth.

This would suit either an experienced and influential Financial Controller or perhaps an experienced Finance Director looking for career and personal growth.
