The Finance Director will be both hands on and strategically focused, with full P&L and Balance Sheet management responsibilities, together with accountability for the financial aspects of the business. This role is responsible for providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company's short and long-term financial commitments are met.

Description

  • Development and implementation of the company's strategic plans, with specific responsibility for delivering its financial strategy and providing financial expertise and guidance
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to the company's managers and employees to enable them to achieve their objectives.
  • Develop a well-structured financial management infrastructure across processes, controls and systems including reporting and budgetary management.
  • Sponsor, lead or oversee key projects related to financial process development, providing appropriate training and coaching as necessary.
  • Seek opportunities to negotiate improved costs & terms to improve service and reduce overheads and contribute to other projects within the business as required.
  • Lead all financial planning and analysis including financial forecasting, budgeting
  • Oversee the preparation of the monthly management reporting packs, together with the monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial reports
  • Build effective and positive relationships with colleagues in the business
  • Review and input to new and existing contracts with external organisations
  • Manage and direct a small finance team to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Experience leading a Finance function for an SME
  • Excellent financial management skills
  • A proven record of operating at a strategic and tactical level
  • Strong financial / commercial experience with knowledge of profit & loss, balance sheet and cashflow management

Job Offer

£85,000 - £100,000 + 20% bonus.

Working from office 3x per week as a minimum ^
