Michael Page are recruiting a Divisional FC for a listed global business with subsidiaires in the UK, Europe, Australia and North America.
Client Details
The group has a global turnover of over £1bn+ and operates in the manufacturing and distribution sector.
As a key player in their industry in the UK and Australia, they are known for their quality products and are aimed at the middle-to-upper sector of the market.
The group are acquisitive and have recently acquired 2 businesses in West Yorkshire which require a Financial Controller.
Description
Profitable and with a combined turnover of c£35m, Finance has previously been outsourced and is now being brought in house.
This role would focus on implementing financial control and ensuring robust control frameworks within the business, formalising processes and developing your own team.
Whilst you will have the support of the Divisional FD and the wider Group, you would be the number 1 on site and report into the MD on a daily basis, acting as a key business partner to challenge and advise on business decisions and improve profit margins and maximise growth.
Other responsibilities would include;
- Year-end audit and liaison with external auditors
- Responsible for statutory obligations
- Treasury management
- Commercial input to business teams
- Budget & forecasting formulation
Profile
Ideally you will have worked in a sales driven, product focused environment before (manufacturing or distribution would be ideal) and you must be a fully qualified Accountant.
You'll be a self starter able to work independently and implement ways of working, spotting risk and opportunity and able to advise stakeholders outside of Finance on business decisions.
