Financial accountant for a large retailer based in Nottinghamshire.
Client Details
A large retailer with over 700 stores in the UK and operate in 25 countries. Employing over 25,000 employees and are continuing to grow.
Description
- Support the Assistant Group Accountant with the consolidation process, reviewing consolidation journals & understanding processes
- Liaising with External Auditors on audit queries during the year-end audit process
- Owning the preparation of the company financial statements
- Supporting the Chief Accountant with complex accounting areas, including acquisitions, share schemes, derivatives, and foreign subsidiaries
- Liaising with External Auditors on audit queries across a wide range of subsidiary companies
- Ownership of the Group budgeting and forecasting process, liaising with the FP&A team to ensure detailed models are received on a timely basis in line with pre-defined timetables
Profile
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Good knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS
- Excellent Excel Skills and highly organised
- Motivated and able to meet deadlines
- Looking to grow a career with a global commercial business
