Your new role
In this role you will manage a team of Accounts Assistants responsible for the regular admin expense reporting (inclusive of source and allocated expenses), the outputs of which support the work of the Expense Business Partners, and Group FP&A, in providing senior management and the wider business.
The key aspects of this role are to support the accurate recording of accounting transactions to enable the data to be used for all the Management Information, reporting and controls process we have, particularly around the balance sheet being in a financial services company.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience in dealing with the external auditors, managing the relevant control and governance frameworks, external reporting input, regulatory experience of FSCS and FCA are all beneficial but not critical to successful delivery in this role.
Due to the nature of the role the opportunity lends itself to someone who thrives on evolution, evaluation of process of change, taking bold steps to simplify and innovate the outcome.
The diverse nature of the role requires a strong relationship manager, someone who feels comfortable challenging the status quo, driving change and ensuring that the strategic goals are not forgotten in the frenzy of delivery.
You may come from a financial services background, though this is not essential as we are open to applications from strong finance controls background across all industries.
The role lends itself to someone with experience in dealing with ambiguity, navigating complex organisational structures and managing multiple different types of stakeholder.
