Assistant Finance Manager - £33,000-£38,000 DOE - Wallingford - Permanent

Your new company
This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK subsidiary of an established international company. The purpose of the role is to support the Finance Manager running the finance function and supervising the junior members of the team.

Your new role
As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include:

• Support with month end processes including reconciliations, P&L, audit and transaction postings
• Support with cashflow management
• Oversee sales ledger and purchase ledger
• Process bank transfer requests, supplier statements and cash expenses
• Process monthly journals
• Reconciliation of bank statements
• Credit Control management
• Support in year-end process

• Balance sheet reconciliations (Bank, Fixed Assets, Prepayments)
• Month end Journals
• Accruals & Prepayments
• Manage A/R and A/P
• VAT submission and reconciliation

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate you will need:

• Computer literate with good MS office skills
• SAP experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure deadlines are met
• Able to manage own workload
• Good understanding of accruals and accounting principles including VAT

• Strong communication skills

• At least 3 years in a similar accounting role
• Partly or newly qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA or ACA) or similar
