Group Finance Manager

New Group Finance Manager role paying up to £60,000 near Warrington.


Hays Senior Finance have been appointed by a long-standing client to support them in the recruitment of a qualified Group Finance Manager. As the title suggests this role will be based form their impressive head office and focus on Group / Head Office accounts. This successful and growing Services business has a national reach with multiple sites. The business is further split down into different divisions but all consolidated at the Head Office.

As Group Finance Manager you will report into the Group Financial Controller and manage three assistants. This is a newly created role so duties can be moulded to the right individual depending on their skills. However, key duties will include -

• Management of the central Management Accounts team (three) that look after the accounting (P&L and Balance Sheet) of the £20m of central overhead and produce a number of the key accounting entries.
• Reporting of the monthly results to the Group FC and act as first contact for any queries.
• VAT returns
• P11D compilation
• Compilation and submission of the Budget and Forecast to Group
• Accounting for various head office and dormant entities

This is a broad and interesting role which will partner will multiple stakeholders across the business. It is the ideal stepping stone into a larger Group role or into a Divisional FC role. The business proactively encourages development and they have a history of moving people around to help them progress. This role would suit someone with a Practice background who has moved into Industry and now wishes to have a larger role with progression. However, we are open to considering other backgrounds.
