Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be supporting a superb retail and manufacturing business based near Evesham with the recruitment of a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Reporting into the Group Financial Reporting Manager and regularly liaising with both the Group Financial Controller and CEO, you will be given the opportunity to support across key financial areas whilst adding value on a wider scale.

Main duties:

• Production of management accounts including variance analysis
• Production of monthly sales and margin analysis
• Production of monthly internal reports
• Completing and submitting the monthly VAT return
• Maintaining and reconciling the Fixed Asset Register
• Accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide commercial analysis to be used by Senior Management
• Ad hoc duties to support Senior Management

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) actively studying towards full qualification
• Technically competent with previous experience in a management accounting role
• Strong commercial awareness with a curiosity about the numbers
• High attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture
• Excellent communication skills and able to build strong working relationships
• Capable of dealing with change in a fast-paced and dynamic business
• Manufacturing/distribution background (highly advantageous)
• IT literate with good working knowledge of Excel
