Job Details

Opportunity for a Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant with Public Practice experience - Midlothian.

Your new company
Hays are delighted to be partnered with a locally established, small accountancy firm who support a wide variety of clients across the surrounding areas with their accounts and tax preparations. Due to an increase in demand on the existing team after a period of exciting growth for the firm, the requirement for an Accountant to add to the team on a permanent basis has become available.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be supporting with accounts preparation, corporate tax and self assessments as well as managing VAT returns for a varied portfolio of clients. These clients will include an array of size and turnover but each account must be managed with the same professionalism and attentiveness throughout.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will have previous experience in an accountancy practice and the willingness to work collaboratively with a small team. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of accounts preparation, corporate tax and self assessment with your own knowledge of a range of clients. Although a formal accountancy qualification is not essential, a desire to pursue a formal accountancy qualification (if you are already a part qualified accountant) can be supported.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will be offered a competitive base salary and additional company benefits that can be discussed at application stage. You will be joining a reputable and positively growing accountancy firm that is local and driven by a strong sense of team engagement.
