The Firm
We are small highly successful, dynamic, and fast-growing firm based in Reading, Berkshire. We are Chartered Accountants. Chartered Management Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to progress with the practice.
The Role
- Reporting directly to our Client Services Director
- Managing workflows of a small team, ensuring prompt delivery of work accurately and on
- budget in line with our customer guarantees
- Management, development, and coaching of junior staff within your team.
- Manage your own portfolio of clients ensuring quality of service and expert advice.
- Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and Limited companies
- Preparation of corporation and personal tax returns
- Undertake initial file reviews for your team for technical accuracy and completeness prior to being reviewed by the Client Services Director.
- Carrying out analytical reviews for clients and conduct client review meetings to assist
- clients to interpreting and making sense of their financial data.
- Promote the Practice and recommend additional value-added services to clients.
- Manage own daily workloads.
The Requirements
Minimum of 3 years previous experience working in a Practice environment. Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Excellent technical knowledge of current Financial Reporting Standards Experience delivering excellent service to clients. Ability to work on own initiative unsupervised. Ability to work to strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills written and verbal. Strong knowledge of accounting/tax systems; specifically, Xero would be an advantage, along with prerequisite for excellent Excel and IT skills
