My client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant who will be reporting directly into the Head of Management Reporting. The successful candidate will join the central team and be responsible for the financial elements allocated, ensuring processes are robust and financial information is up to date and clear.

My client is a leading membership body based in Leicester. They are now seeking an experienced Management Accountant to work closely with budget holders to prepare, produce and distribute timely and accurate management information including monthly management accounts, reports, analysis and commentary of key variances for the organisation.
Description
- Prepare monthly accounts to agreed timescales including reconciliation of items coded to balance sheet.
- Prepare financial forecasts and budgets for area of responsibility.
- Monitor income and expenditure levels ensuring they are in line with budgets and forecasts.
- Manage capital expenditure and financial elements of major projects.
- Produce month end and year end journals.
- Support the year end process providing information, analysis and reconciliations.
- Analyse and prepare monthly and other financial information to assist profitability and growth
- Produce financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, monthly management accounts, variance analysis/commentary and relevant commercial analysis (pricing, margins etc.).
- Act as a business partner for departments and the management team assisting on financial decisions by advising on financial implications of proposals on income, expenditure and overall surplus or deficit.
- Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT.
Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or Part Qualified
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience of business partnering
Job Offer
- Up to £43,000 per year
- Hybrid working (40% in the office)
