Job Details

My client are looking for someone to support with the management accounts, statutory accounts, liaising with auditors, VAT returns etc. You will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and therefore have a large amount of exposure to the business & senior leadership team.

Description

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts under UK GAAP to a high quality standard with comments and analysis within company reporting deadlines
  • Liaising with auditors to assist with fieldwork requirements and to explain reconciliations as and when required
  • Complete quarterly VAT returns for the entity and ensure reconciliations are understood
  • Assist with year-end procedures and statutory note workings, along with providing support to the tax computation process
  • Manage the stock closure process with operations and the Management Accountant to ensure robust procedures are maintained around stock
  • Detailed Balance Sheet reconciliations with commentary and understanding of the wider commercial impact of the numbers held in the accounts
  • Providing assistance and guidance to the Accounts Payable clerk to ensure that their systems and routines are correctly followed in the most efficient manner
  • In-depth overhead analysis each month compared to budget results to understand the variances
  • Supervision of 2 x Accounts Assistants
  • Development of robust processes and control as expected within a large international group
