An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join the commercial finance team within a FTSE 250 company.

Client Details

My client is a leading telco infrastructure business based in in central London.

Description

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Operational Functional Heads and/or Programme Directors
  • Financial assessment of business activities and projects specific to programmes/functions
  • Work with senior management team in preparation and review of business cases, providing detailed feedback on submission, continuously work towards improving the process
  • Provide appropriate level of challenge to senior leaders on cost proposals
  • Budgeting and quarterly forecasting of costs and timing of cash outflows
  • Manage and report on key risks, issues and opportunities affecting projects and functions that the role supports
  • Prepare and deliver accurate month-end/year-end management reporting for functions and projects which this role supports
  • Identify and drive improvements/efficiencies in existing processes
  • Other ad hoc assignments as necessary

Profile

The successful Finance Business Partner will have the following credentials:

  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Circa 5/6 years of FBP on cost-decision support

  • Experience of working in the energy, government, IT, technology or telecommunications sectors

  • Supporting project/programme accounting

  • Business case creation - able to review and approve, support in terms of tracking over the full-life of a project

  • Able to provide clear analysis of performance drivers
  • Track record of implementing change to improve financial processes
  • Experience of engaging and influencing at executive level

Job Offer

Basic salary up to £70,000 + 10% car allowance, discretionary 20% bonus & benefits, hybrid working.
