IFRS Assistant Project Manager role in London offering £50,828 with a financial reporting standards body.

Your new role

The role involves contributing to allocated projects which can include influencing, endorsement or thought-leadership projects. An Assistant Project Manager will usually work in a small project team, unless the project is very small in which case the Assistant Project Manager may run a project and report directly to a senior member of the team:

  • Assisting with researching the existing material on the FRS topics
  • Following the IASB's discussions, assisting with the analysis of the IASB's proposals and decisions, with the identification of issues and concerns and with the development of technical arguments to support the analysis.
  • Assisting with gathering evidence and assessing stakeholder views on the project
  • Preparing first drafts of high-quality technical papers for the UKEB and working groups.
  • Developing draft comment letters for public comment, discussing drafts with Project Directors and the Technical Director, and revising as appropriate, within project deadlines.
  • Updating and finalising comment letters in line with direction from senior team members and the UKEB.




What you'll need to succeed

You will be qualified with some post qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of the financial reporting environment of listed companies and a demonstrable interest in IFRS.
  • Experience in technical accounting work or the ability to demonstrate a clear interest in these activities.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and respectfully with UK and international stakeholders.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and deliver to tight deadlines
