Job Details

Full-time interim role starting asap Proven working knowledge of UK GAAP & IFRS

*Full time role- 2 days on site & 3 days working from home
*Starting ASAP while they hire permanent replacement (3-6 month interim assignment)
*Manufacturing experience required
*Manage bi-weekly cash flow forecast for the various UK based entities
*Communicate effectively with the business to understand the flow of cash for non-ledger items
*Manage the Accounts Receivable team (2 based in Trowbridge, 2 based at outsource centre)
*Maintaining General Ledger; ensure designated control and other balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly, and investigate unusual transactions promptly
*Assist in preparation of annual budget and quarterly reforecasts
*Ensure accounting policies, process maps and process notes are documented and updated properly
*Monitor and record non-conformities and implement corrective plan as necessary
*Proactively identify system and process improvements and opportunities to add value to the business and work to implement change as necessary
*Support the Financial Controller to ensure robust internal control in the business
*Support the submission of full and half year submissions to the Group Financial Controller
*Assist external audit
*Support tax schedule preparation and reporting
*Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are in place and all required returns are filed appropriately
*Support Accounts Payable, and FP&A teams as required
*Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by the business


Skills required:
*CIMA, ACCA or ACA newly qualified or finalist, or QBE
*Proven working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
*Strong reporting and financial accounting experience
*Able to use Excel to an intermediate level. E.g. VLOOKUPs, PivotTable
*Comprehensive knowledge of working with ERP systems and ability to assimilate new software quickly
*Self-motivating, proactive, deadline-driven and can work under pressure
*Excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to develop strong working relationships
*A keen eye for detail and a proactive and dynamic attitude to problem solving, with ability to use initiative and common sense
*Team player and flexible; the role is in a team with ambitious improvement plans and as such will require the successful candidate to be adaptive to changing requests and ways of working
