Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to assist them during a particularly busy time

Our client is a global business with offices in Glasgow
Description
The role will entail but will not be exclusive to:
- Lead on the day-today Group Finance relationship, ensuring all Group Finance deliverables are met in a timely and accurate manner
- Responsible for the production of the statutory accounts
- Develop the relationship with the Shared Service Centre for key matters that impact the financial accounts, including process improvements and VAT returns
- Ensure that financial governance and controls are upheld
- Periodic balance sheet review process
- Lead the IFRS16 reporting requirements
- Support and deputise for the Financial Controller, as and when required, for interactions with Group Finance
- Manage and upskill the Financial Accountants, including regular interactions to drive both personal and business improvements
Profile
The successful candidate requires as a minimum:
- Professional accountancy qualification
- Practice background with exposure to audit and industry
- Experience of reviewing processes and implementing controls
- Advanced excel skills
- Prior experience of IFRS 16
Due to the urgent nature only candidates who are available at no more than one weeks notice will be considered
This role is based in Glasgow and candidates must be able to travel to the office on a regular basis
