Job Details

Are you an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and dynamic Financial Controller looking to move up to Head of Finance level? Or are you currently a Manager or Senior Manager in practice and looking to make your first move into industry? Are you looking to work for a very high profile advanced manufacturing specialist where you can really make your mark in a new role? Are you looking for a role that you can make your own, recommend and implement improvements and contribute to the success of this incredibly high profile business which is currently streamlining a number of areas in the business? Reporting to the CEO and with help from a Non-Executive Director, your role will include: managing the overall finance team and ensuring it runs effectively and efficiently, develop financial reporting packs including financial performance, monitoring and forecasting cash, budgeting, helping to develop an overall long term financial strategy for the business, Preparation and presentation of Business Reporting for funding partners, preparation of management accounts, Coordination of and recommendations of key service providers – energy supply, insurance etc, recommending and implementing improvements to the firms systems, controls and procedures and any other ad hoc finance assignments and projects that arise. Your role will be varied, challenging and highly rewarding and you will help play a major role in shaping the business going forwards.

To be considered for this new role (November 2022) you must be ACA qualified with at least 4 or 5 years post qualification experience. You will either be a Financial Controller and looking to step up to Head of Finance level, or you will be working in practice and looking to make your first move into industry. You must be enthusiastic, dynamic and entrepreneurial and keen to work for a very high profile, medium size business (£15m turnover) where you can really make your mark and implement numerous changes across the business. You must be looking for high levels of responsibility and looking to shape a finance team in order to achieve success. You must live within commutable distance to SN3, Wiltshire. This is mainly an office based role although the firm support hybrid working and flexible working hours so home working is achievable (eg once a week).

This well known specialist manufacturing business whose clients include very high profile world famous brands and companies, is growing at a tremendous rate and continuing to grow and expand in its market. It employs almost 200 staff and has an excellent reputation. They are going through a period of change, currently streamlining the business and simplifying a number of areas, of which you will play a major part. They ideally need someone who can start in January so you will ideally have no more than a month notice period but they can be flexible if someone has a three month notice. Overall this an incredibly rare Head of Finance position that has become available with a very high profile niche manufacturing business.
