Job Details

Finance manager role responsible for end-to-end finance operations within the organisation as well as developing new strategies to increase growth. You will be reporting to the Finance Director and have the opportunity to make key decisions with external stakeholders.

Our client is a medium sized Not-for-Profit housing association with under 4000 homes. They are ambitions and have an enthusiastic finance team, with a fantastic work culture, who are all looking to focus on the development of sustainable housing within local communities.

Description

Reporting to the Finance director, you will be supporting an expanding finance team to continue their business growth.

  • Ensure the team provides finance support to development managers, identifying the financial risk and impact of commercial decisions.
  • Focusing on the continuous improvements and implementations of systems in an efficient manner.
  • Providing leadership to a team of part qualified and fully qualified accountants, setting out work plans and motivating them to achieve their KPI's.
  • Responsible for leading annual statutory audits and lasing with the external auditors.
  • Producing budgeting and forecasting reports with actuals, alongside providing insights from variance analysis reports.
  • Responsible for monitoring junior team member during the preparing, calculations, and submission of VAT returns.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues in the organisation, and external stakeholders which include: Property developers, Banks and Local council leadership.

Profile

Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CFA or overseas equivalent).

Valuable experience handling projects and managing a team.

Excellent problem solving skills and communication skills.

Doesn't require visa sponsorship.

Experience working within a housing association or real estate.
