Job Details

The main remit of this role will be to provide front office transactional RTR services to the UK business, focussing on recording costs, analysing financial data and reconciling key control accounts. The successful applicant will also be facilitating delivery of month-end close activity, with subsequent query handling.

Lastly, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger through the promotion of best practice.

Description

The key responsibilities for this great Senior Financial Accounting Manager - R2R role will be as follows:

  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy and relevance of financial data/information for decision making purposes
  • To ensure that costs are correctly allocated to UK business units, calculating and posting accruals, as appropriate
  • To ensure that cashbook entries are posted, investigating and resolving unknown items
  • To prepare month end reconciliations ensuring resolution of reconciling items
  • To provide front office query handling to UK business finance colleagues
  • To prepare analysis of cost/balance sheet data to support UK business units
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to relevant finance and business stakeholders
  • To prepare, update and review operating procedure documentation
  • Assist management to facilitate continuous process improvement and ensure tight cost control, supporting Lean initiatives and maintaining integrity of systems and data
  • To perform root cause analysis of items where issues are found at the end of the process in PTP
  • To adhere to UK and group accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist, where required, on various projects relating to analysis, reporting, and process improvement
  • Participate as required as a team member in other special projects
  • To manage, mentor, support, oversee and performance-manage team members
  • To carry out any other ad hoc duties, as and when required

Profile

The successful candidate for this interesting Senior Financial Accounting Lead - R2R role will be:

  • A finance professional with team leadership experience
  • An experienced accountant with experience of working in a Shared Service Centre or Group function
  • Qualified accountant/QBE with a focus on/interest in financial accounting
  • Some interaction with change management/CI/projects/transition
  • Someone who is comfortable with management of cash books and bank recs
  • Able to handle dealing with month end balance sheet recs
  • Able to discuss Finance Business Partner queries on General Ledger postings
  • Able to document new processes and keep existing process documentation up to date
  • Be an organised, approachable team leader who has a strong eye for detail

Job Offer

The successful candidate for this interesting Senior Financial Accounting Lead - R2R role will receive a market-leading salary of £65,000 - £70,000 + benefits & a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
