Job Details

This is a senior role with a strong technical element. This is well suited to someone with group consolidations experience that has an understanding of PLC reporting and can also interact with a wide range of senior stakeholders.

Description

The main responsibilities within this role:

  • Ownership and responsibility for the accurate preparation of Group financial statements including disclosures.
  • Manage the Group financial statement audit process as a key point of contact for the external auditor
  • Preparation of the consolidated annual and monthly management accounts.
  • Manage consolidation system.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the Group's accounting policies and control framework.
  • Preparation of board packs for the audit committee.
  • Support the preparation of the subsidiary statutory accounts and perform reviews to ensure appropriate financial disclosures.
  • Work with other finance departments such as Tax and FP&A to ensure aligned reporting disclosures.
  • Design, implement and maintain key judgement papers such as impairment reviews, dilapidation calculations, shared based payments and earnings per share calculations and related disclosures.
  • Lead and act as the central finance representative on ad-hoc projects (e.g. change in accounting policies, new revenue streams, restructuring, refinancing, systems, processes and controls).

Profile

The successful candidate:

  • Excellent technical financial accounting knowledge
  • A full and recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA)
  • Experience using HFM
  • Confident in dealing with senior colleagues in the organisation
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and get the job done
  • Proven ability to deliver to deadlines with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with advanced ability to interpret and present findings

Job Offer

A highly competitive day rate (DOE) and an immediate start. This position requires 1-2 days a week in Swindon so candidates need to be able to commute or stay away if they don't live locally. This position is inside IR35
