The Group Financial Controller will help manage the financial reporting and accounting team and will have the opportunity to drive improvement and efficiency's. Description

  • Management of and provision of support to the Financial Reporting & Accounting team including recruitment, assessment, engagement and development, review of workload, process and systems as well as performance appraisal.
  • Ensuring the Financial Reporting & Accounting team understands the company objectives and is committed to delivering these.
  • Management of the financial transaction team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of transactions including sales and purchase invoices, expenses, credit card payments etc
  • Managing the management reporting team to produce timely management accounts ensuring that income and costs are recognised in the financial statements in accordance with Group Accounting policy and GAAP.
  • Production of monthly management accounts for the client including Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet, and incorporating estimated Corporation Tax accruals, and analysis of Revenue, Gross Contribution and Gross Profit to client level.
  • Uploading monthly information to ASL reporting system and completing Group reporting and disclosure requirements
  • Cash and working capital management to ensure sufficient cash is available for payment and that cash is maximised and utilised appropriately
  • Overseeing credit control activities and authorising new customer accounts, obtaining credit reports and discussing issues or potential issues with the CFO

Profile

To be a successful candidate you must have the following:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA accounting qualification.
  • Be able to take on a challenge.
  • Collaborate with others in your team.
  • Be proactive and flexible towards your approach.
  • Willing to adapt and change to business situations.
  • Experience in a similar level role.
