Interim Head of Corporate Governance, hybrid/ flexible working Leeds.

Reporting to the CEO, this crucial position takes responsibility for the management and co-ordination of the Corporate Governance and Risk, management agenda and board functions, information governance and DSAR and also includes the company secretary responsibility.

You will work closely with the Trustees, SMT and staff across the organisation to ensure that emerging legislation/regulation is appropriately actioned and provide assessment of progress made to the relevant committees and board. You will o be responsible for co-ordinating the continued development of the Governance Framework, Charity Code, Risk Management Framework, the Annual Governance Statement, and Strategy. Support the development of local service risk registers and business continuity plans working with operational manager colleagues to ensure processes are in place for risk identification, assessment and reporting. To ensure the timely completion of the Annual Report and other Board & committee documents and publications.

About you
The successful candidate will be an experienced governance professional with experience of risk reporting systems and in the preparation of high quality written reports, experience of reporting to and ensuring assurance to trustees and an understanding of charity reporting and working in a regulatory environment

The organisation is based on the outskirts of Leeds and is easily accessible from the West Yorkshire area. They operate flexible working. The role is mostly office based with some potential to work from home by agreement.
