Quality is at the heart of what we do. Combining passionate people with leading technology, we work together to build trust in society. We put the team first and solve important problems by challenging the organisations we audit and being open to challenge ourselves. We take pride in our work and the profession, recognising audit as a deep specialism.

Hear from our UK Head of Audit about the evolution of the Audit and what opportunities PwC could have for you.

It's a really exciting time to be joining us. We’re growing our teams across all areas of our Audit practice and investing a huge amount in our people, their skills and the technology available, as we continue to radically modernise our business and the way we serve our clients.

Learn more about The Future of Audit.

In Digital Audit you'll spend time working on the technology enabled side of the audit, focussing on engaging, training and supporting the audit practice on latest technology developments and releases for implementation at scale.  You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of teams, industries and technologies.  You’ll need to be people focussed, tenacious and resilient. The role will provide exposure to contacts such as key Digital Audit and core Audit stakeholders and also a variety of internal teams such as technology risk, audit methodology, Digital Lab, Tech Central.  You’ll be part of a wider team, taking real responsibility for the work you do and will have an important role in the development and governance of new technologies for the benefit of the UK Audit practice.

We are a national team, with people across different locations - therefore base location is flexible, with some travel required for face-to-face meetings.

As a member of the innovation team in Digital Audit, you'll work as part of a team driving change in Audit via technology.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assessment and evaluation of new innovative ideas and contributing to the decision making process of which projects to take forward.

  • Building Digital Lab assets on existing technology such as Alteryx to enhance audit quality and create efficiencies.

  • Reviewing Digital Lab asset submissions to ensure they are fit for purpose, including discussing enhancements and associated guidance with asset authors.

  • Developing Document Bot templates, including working closely with ARQ on the content

  • Establishing effective working relationships with key contacts across Digital Audit, the wider audit practice and with x-los teams where needed.

  • Contributing to the development of your own and team's technical acumen

  • Keeping up to date with developments in Audit and using this knowledge in the assessment of new technologies and to contribute your own ideas.

  • Supporting the Audit practice with queries or issues with our existing innovation tools which are widely used.

  • Taking ownership of a portfolio of work and managing your own time effectively.

Preferable experience and qualifications

  • CA / ACA / ACCA/ICAS qualified (or international equivalent). Or part Qualified and working towards your full CA / ACA / ACCA / ICAS (or equivalent) qualification

  • Core Audit experience (any industry)

  • Experience with core Audit tools (e.g. Aura, Halo etc.)

  • Good knowledge of using Alteryx and other Digital Lab technologies such as Tableau.

  • A willingness to learn and an enthusiasm for new technology.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Please note that this role is offered as a secondment opportunity for 12 months, and we're flexible about base office location.
