Hazlewoods Audit team believe in building constructive relationships and delivering high quality audit services with our audit clients, ensuring a smooth audit process for businesses. 

We are fully trained in developments in auditing standards and paperless audit software and aim to stay ahead of the game; from being one of the first accounting firms to use computers back in the 1960s, we are always looking to use the latest technology to provide our clients with an efficient service.  AI is set to be a game-changer across industries and we are excited to embrace the change it will bring to the audit and assurance industry.

 

We want to give you responsibility for delivering services to a diverse portfolio of clients, with turnover of up to £60m in a wide variety of industries.  You will be part of a friendly, hard working team of around 60 professionals and five Partners.  Where possible, we work in open plan offices with a flat structure, utilising everyone’s skills and experience to achieve a shared goal.

The right person will:

Control the audit planning and fieldwork for a client portfolio Deliver high quality, fully compliant financial statements Identify areas of risk within a client’s business and define the appropriate audit approach Review work of team members to ensure audit objectives have been met Assist in the management, motivation, mentoring and development of a team Use in-depth knowledge of clients to anticipate and address challenging, complex and interesting issues   

 

You will thrive in this role if:

 

You are ACA/ACCA fully/part-qualified You understand the bigger picture as well as auditing individual balances You have well developed supervisory skills, e.g., coaching and motivation of audit assistants You have good project management techniques, including decision making ability, analytical skills, time management, organisational, evaluative and administrative skills
