Accounts Payable Manager Job - Sevenoaks - c£45,000 DOE

My client a leading property business in the Sevenoaks area is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join the team.

Your new role
Will be to provide leadership and management across the Accounts Payable function leading a team of 2.

Key responsibilities
* Management of the purchase ledger function for the organisation, including ensuring that all payments are recorded in an accurate and timely manner and that they adhere to all contractual payment and compliance terms.
* Full line management of the purchase ledger team, including workflow management and review, providing training and support and giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
* Responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of a Purchase Ordering capability and No PO No Pay Policy.
* Be at the forefront of producing new ideas related to improving the efficiency of the team's current accounting processes and monitor the organisations software to optimise functionality
* Responsible for the calculation and submission of VAT and CIS returns to HMRC for the group
* Create daily KPI reports on the performance of the team, and the organisation in relation to accounts payable, which will be reviewed weekly by senior Finance Managers

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an accomplished Accounts Payable professional, with proven experience of managing an accounts payable function and detailed knowledge of legislative requirements and best practice in this area. Proven experience of ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, policies and procedures and managing risk in a business environment, as well as a detailed knowledge of HMRC VAT and CIS requirements. A good working knowledge of general data protection rules and familiarity with accounts payable software (Cloud Financials) would be desirable. You will also ideally have a recognised full or part financial qualification.
