Commercial Accountant role with a pathway to Head of Finance.

I am proud to be partnered with a high growth business based in Norfolk; actively looking to recruit for a Commercial Accountant to join their team as they look to enter the next chapter of their journey. This company has a strong and positive culture with everyone within the organisation sharing the same passion as each other. This opportunity has become available due to growth of the business and has long term plans to eventually take over as Head of Finance.

Your new role
As Commercial Accountant, you will be working in a small finance team working closely with and reporting into the Head of Finance.

You will also be working closely with the operational managers of each department, providing real time support and analysis, assisting with key business decision making. Involved will be presenting data to the Head of Finance and operational managers, so strong excel, PowerPoint and presentation skills are essential.

On the short term whilst covering for the Finance Manager who is going on maternity leave early 2023, you will also be involved in the day-to-day duties managing a team of 3, producing management accounts, budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting, some project work etc.

The current HOF has plans to move into an operational role within the next 12-18 months depending on how quickly you settle into the role. If you're highly ambitious and a commercially minded accountant looking for career progression, this one is for you!

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to have the confidence and ability to build successful relationships with financial and non-financial professionals; have high attention to detail; be commercially orientated; highly analytical; strong system skills including excel and PowerPoint; forward-thinking; be able to identify where improvements can be made and not afraid to action on them. It is an added bonus if you're fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), however this is NOT essential.

What you'll get in return
On offer for this role is a salary of up to £50,000 per annum plus a 15% bonus, holiday allowance rising each year, pension, hybrid working and much more.
