A Group Accountant FTC for a leading Financial Services business in Manchester. Maternity Cover.
Your new company
A market leading Financial Services Group in Manchester.
Your new role
A Group Accountant role covering maternity leave on a fixed term contract basis. You will be responsible for: Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, Performing analytical review of balance sheet items to ensure business performance is appropriately reflected in the Group and subsidiaries financial statements. Preparation and maintenance of monthly accruals and prepayments. Preparation and monitoring effectiveness of accounting provisions and deferrals. The preparation of monthly management accounts and commentary on key movements. Assisting with the annual financial reporting, including business reviews, statement notes and preparation of primary financial statements. Assisting the auditors to ensure that the year-end audit process runs smoothly. Supporting activities in other finance teams as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant, with strong technical skills and ideally experience of the Financial Services sector. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent time management and organisation skills. Highly IT literate, including Excel and have strong, analytical skills. You will work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
What you'll get in return
