Financial Controller required for an award-winning SME based in Stockport

Your new company are an award-winning SME based in Stockport. They're world leaders within their market place doing business in every continent. With 5+ companies within the Group registered across Europe and the US.

Your new role
In your new role you'll be responsible for the overall Financial Management and daily running of the finance function. Reporting into the he Managing Director. You will produce the monthly management accounts, bi-month sales reports and other ad-hoc reports for the Directors. You will manage the credit control / purchase ledger team to ensure all invoices are accurate and payments are made on time. You will be the point of contact for all internal and external auditors. Complete VAT returns quarterly. You will carry out all payroll duties including pensions using Sage 50. You will also be responsible for monitoring of exchange rate fluctuations to manage the risk of currency exposure with forex forward contracts.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant with experience working within a similar position as Finance lead within an owner managed SME. You will have strong leadership skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders. You will have the ability to review, update and implement existing and new internal accounting systems. You will be advanced on excel and have a passion for process improvement.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience. You will join an award winning business who truly are a leader within their niche field.
