Your new company
Your new company is a major international bus company, providing billions of journeys a year. They employ tens of thousands of people and account for nearly twenty percent of London buses with over 1500 buses and near 500 of those being hybrid. They've been able to reach this size by staying true to their values such as providing great value to customers, making sure the right thing is done and thinking beyond.
Your new role
Your new role as compliance business partner will involve reporting to the Head of Assurance, whilst operating in a team of 10 but being the sole compliance professionals. The role will be responsible for supporting areas of the business in complying with the German Corporate Governance standard also know as BilMoG accounting law. This position will also assist the Accountable Owners under the BilMoG and the position will also involve undertaking compliance projects such as designing new polices and implementing new frameworks. Continuous monitoring of KPIs and reporting any pitfalls to Accountable Owners so action can be taken to rectify any issues will also be a key task.
what you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience of performing internal audit related tasks with the ability to work to tight deadline.
- Proactive, change oriented, driven, organised and able to communicate effectively across UK Bus.
- Ability to process information quickly and change it into business policy.
- Capacity to analyse areas where improvements could be made and implement them.
