SME Financial Controller / Head of Finance | Central Wiltshire | Office Based 4 days per week | £50-70K + Bens

Your new role
You'll be joining a reputable, diverse SME in Central Wiltshire that operates across the South West. As Financial Controller, you'll be leading the finance function from the front (and willing to get stuck in with transactional duties and the production of management accounts) as well as partnering with the Managing Director on a strategic level.

Outside of managerial responsibilities and supporting the development of the established and high performing finance team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing monthly consolidated management accounts, maintaining inter company accounts, owning finance systems and reporting, as well as ad-hoc project work.

What you'll need to succeed
This role calls for an experienced finance professional, so you'll be a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified-by-experience finance leader with management experience - ideally from an SME background but those from corporate backgrounds looking to move into an SME role are also very much of interest.

You'll also be a people-person with excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with a range of stakeholders at all levels of the business - so a blend of operational finance management and business partnering is key.

Additionally, you'll be a whiz on Excel (incl. Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) and finance systems such as Access, SAP, or Sage.
