We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Finance Analyst, who is looking to push forward their career in a high-performing finance team.

Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for weekly analysis and reporting:
    • Assisting management of all weekly reporting processes, including reporting on sales, rotas and labour costs.
    • Attend weekly trading meetings to report on key sales metrics and key factors impacting sales. Partner with and support department heads on sales-driving actions.
    • Understand and challenge weekly labour results. Attend the weekly labour calls to support and challenge the operations team.
  • Menu development, labour analysis and analytics:
    • Provide support on the menu modelling.
    • Analysis and review of the impact of menu changes on Group margins and sales mix.
    • Supporting commercial negotiations with suppliers across all cost areas to ensure we manage our cost base in a highly inflationary environment.
    • Work with the operational teams to ensure hours used in the sites are in line with the budget.
    • Significant ad hoc analysis.
  • Budgets:
    • Work closely with the Head of FP&A to manage the budget process. This will involve working closely with the FD and MD, alongside other members of the finance team.
    • Preparation of budget packs for all stakeholders both internally and externally, including board presentations.
    • Assisting with the re-budgeting of sites throughout the year as appropriate.
  • Board Reporting:
    • To provide assistance with the monthly board pack.
    • Analysis work with other members of the senior management team to drive commercial decisions and board strategy.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis:
    • Other ad hoc analysis with senior management across the business.
    • For example, modelling a new sales promotion and its effectiveness, or forecasting the annual cost impact of National Minimum Wage across the business.

Profile

  • Personable and friendly character who will be a team player
  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently or in a team environment and drive results
  • Commercially minded with an ability to look at the bigger picture
  • A self-starter and able to work with changing priorities and time pressures. Ability to work accurately is essential in the role.
  • Proven ability to relate to all levels of management and both finance and non-finance staff
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills
  • Ability to present complex data in a simplified and meaningful way
  • Ability to apply knowledge and creativity to resolve complex issues

Job Offer

  • £40,000 - £55,000 basic salary, dependent upon experience
  • Other benefits include:
    • 25 days holiday, excluding statutory bank holidays
    • 50% staff discount on food across our estate
    • Cycle to work scheme
    • Rewards and benefits platform is being launched in Oct 22
    • Head office bonus scheme. Up to 10% of salary
