Progressive Management Accountant Role -Leading PLC -Cheltenham, Gloucestershire-Remote/Office Hybrid Working

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a growing, successful, and well-established PLC to recruit for a driven and dynamic Management Accountant based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. An exciting opportunity supporting the Financial Manager and Financial Director in providing accurate and timely financial information to support key decision making and assisting with the smooth running of the finance department. The position is offering flexibility and remote/office hybrid working (one-two days in the office, the rest remote if wanted) and will further support study. A great opportunity for a part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or a finance professional working towards completion of their qualification to really add value and develop within a leading Construction Group.

Your new role

Your key duties are varied and will develop as you grow within the team/business, you will prepare management accounts, weekly/monthly group reporting, assist with preparation of weekly cash flow forecasting and support reporting for monthly forecasting. You will produce overhead budgets, perform month-end reconciliations, and provide account analysis, along with preparation of journals, prepayments, and accruals. You will report on actual performance vs budget and previous forecast, post statements/journals and monitor daily bank movements. You will be involved in various system/process improvement projects, support senior management in ad-hoc duties and support junior finance team members within the team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this progressive Management Accountant role, you will need experience within a similar position and experience with management accounting processes. Working towards completion of your CIMA/ACCA/ACA with strong MS excel skills and the ability to communicate at all levels around the group. You will be pro-active and a quick learner, trained in a range of financial systems and be used to managing workloads to meet time constraint deadlines. You will be hungry to develop and progress within your accounting career and be used to working within a team environment but also on your own initiative. Experience within the Construction sector and knowledge of COINS would be advantageous but not essential.

This exciting Management Accountant role is offering a competitive salary between £30,000 - £45,000 per annum dependable on experience, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Remote/Office working offered of 1 - 2 days in the office, the rest remote if wanted.
